Victorian Antique Mother-of-Pearl Tea Caddy

A beautiful example of a mid-Victorian antique tea caddy, with a shaped front, all very original with its four bun feet . Covered in stunning iridescent Nacre shell and creating a myriad of colours in various lights. The lid fits perfectly and the interior reveals the two covers with mother-of-pearl knobs and all edges trimmed in bone. The interior of the lid retains its original pink silk lining. The lid is mounted with a silver shaped cartouche, complimenting the silver escutcheon housing a working tasselled key. Excellent condition and measuring 15 cms. wide x 6.75 cms. deep x 10 cms high.
